A little about me:

I graduated from Florida State University with an English degree. Since I was little I’ve always wanted to write; I used to make children’s books and newspapers and sell them to my family. (The best part was being so young I thought a penny was worth a lot so they didn’t have to pay me too much.) I’m currently working on a fiction novel and helping small businesses with their writing needs.

If you look up the word success in the dictionary it says, “the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame.” Living life to the textbook, I believed success meant having a mansion, a huge boat, and buying anything without looking at the price tag. Maybe I was listening to too much Nicki Minaj, but I found myself after college chasing the almighty dollar instead of writing. Post college I was desperate to find a job, and after barely getting any interviews I finally got hired in a company that promoted positivity, work-ethic, and eventually “owning your own company.” It was a multi-level-marketing position (different from most since you never bought the product) that I grew in for 3 years. Although this type of position isn’t for 99% of people, (as I saw people come on go on a daily basis) it strengthened me to become the visionary I am today. I learned the ins-and-outs of running and managing a start-up company. I learned how to maximize on the hours I had in the day and teach others how to do the same. I coached colleagues on time management, goal setting, organization, public speaking, money management, driving sales, scheduling, payroll, and recruiting. After putting in my 10,000 hours and mastering these skills I realized If I could learn this, I could put my heart and soul into writing content and helping other companies succeed. That’s when I started Alexa-Writes.

I want to help and serve MORE companies because I understand what it takes to start up a company: A passion, a great idea, and trustworthy people. I took a risk and stopped living by the textbook of what society perceives success is and defined it in my own terms:

Success: The ability to be in control of time without it controlling you; the freedom to listen to your gut feelings and embrace fear wholeheartedly; to live life with passion or not at all.

I know I’m not the only one who has a different meaning to success. Some people are stay at home moms and their success is to make sure their kids are well taken care of. It’s different for everyone: freedom, fame, family, fortune, faith. Which one is it for you?

If you’ve made the leap to start your own business model or start building your brand, that’s why I’m here, to help YOU. Not everyone has enough time to be a one man (or woman) show. It takes time to write your own content and build an online presence while hiring and teaching new sales reps, handling the books, attending meetings, and so much more.
